                         phase, to detect patterns in fluid flow images. This patterns, in 
                         Dynamical Systems Theory, are called critical points or singular 
                         points. The methodology is based on this theory concepts and in 
                         various works. The method has four fundamentals parts: calculus of 
                         orientation field or phase portrait, orientation smoothing and 
                         estimative of critical points with description and localization of 
                         this patterns. We present some partial results obtained until this 
                         moment.",
